What's different about the all-new Renault KWID

Renault has launched the updated version of its entry-level hatchback KWID.




Renault launched the updated version of Kwid on October 1 and everything has just changed about the new Kwid. It is one of the popular budget hatchbacks in the market right now. It has got some major exterior and interior updates which makes it look more bold, superior and has got an SUV inspired stylish design. The new Renault Kwid facelift is available with two Smart Control Efficiency engines: 0.8 liters and a 1.0-liter petrol engine, which makes 54 ps and 72 nm of torque and 68 ps and 91 nm of torque respectively. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the 1.0-liter petrol AMT engine also features a 5-speed automatic gearbox.

Going along the exteriors there are big changes to this new Renault and yet it manages to maintain the aesthetics from the previous version of Kwid. The front grille features a sleek LED DRL and just below that we have the headlamp, which is quite an iconic design style observed in many of the new 2019 cars. Most of the update goes on the front grill and as we look on the back the rear headlamp has an updated LED design.



The interiors give an appealing luxurious look with great features at this budget. The cluster is now fully digital, with a gear indicator now and led illumination. Which sits on a dual-tone dashboard with chrome accents that makes a premium look KWID.




The new Kwid features a 20.32 cm Touchscreen audio system from Medianav Evolution that comprises with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. There is a cherry on top when Kwid offers a rearview parking assist camera, a fast mobile charger and also a mobile holder.

The major update that we see inside the Kwid automatic variant is when the AMT dial which is now a floor mounted and not on the Dash itself.





At this price point, the Kwid provides a foldable armrest on the rear seat and a good spacious ergo cabin. Moreover, the boot space can be expandable from 279 liters to about 620 liters if and only if the rear seats are folded making a huge room for luggage.
